Summary

Primary Purpose: To contribute to the profitability, continuity and growth of Hollister Inc as a Sourcing Specialist.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Work with cross-functional teams to manage the evaluation and approval of alternative raw materials and suppliers ensuring a consistent supply into the Plant.

 

  • Identify and manage supplier relationships that drive continuous improvement and continuity through the supply chain. Ensure integration of the supplier base into plant activities and support plant lean program e.g. pull replenishment systems, inventory optimization, reduced lead times.

 

  • Track and measure supplier performance ensuring that suppliers meet plant expectations on a consistent basis. Review performance on a regular basis and initiative corrective actions with underperforming suppliers. When appropriate escalate significant issues up through the Global Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Quality teams.

 

  • Coordinates in cooperation with Product Development, Quality Management and Operations to ensure the material specification matches plant requirements and supplier capabilities.

 

  • Contribute to Global Strategic Sourcing goals ensuring that the plant interests are represented. Align expectations with the plant and Global Sourcing and drive responsible cost savings initiatives.

 

  • Consult and enlist corporate resources as appropriate e.g. legal, direct and indirect sourcing.

 

  • Purchasing order placement activities should be anticipated initially.

 

 

  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

 

 

Essential Functions of the Role

 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
  • Frequent movement over large manufacturing floor area
  • Effective communication and listening skills (both oral and written).
  • Ability to travel

 

 

Work Experience Requirements

 

  • 3 to 5 years relevant supplier development relationship experience.

 

  • SAP or equivalent MRP system & IT based document control systems.

 

 

Education Requirements

 

•  Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Business, Technical or related field preferred.

 

Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge

 

  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent analytical skills utilizing technology such as Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, ir Excel).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent Time Management.
