Summary

This position assists the BIM Team to provide work in progress to internal customers, while assisting in meeting the goals in Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost in the Barrier Value Stream.

Responsibilities

  • Actively supports the team through commitment to Quality, Service, Cost, and Safety.
  • Actively participate in team meetings and goal setting/accomplishments.
  • Proactive and reactive in 5S.
  • Volunteer services and/or knowledge on team projects and Team Engagement Roles.
  • Ability to use problem solving/lean tools to resolve team issues.
  • Ability to become certified on all processes that require certification.
  • Support and practice current policies
  • Regularly uses effective communication skills in giving/receiving feedback to resolve conflict situations.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as instructed by Team Leader.

Essential Functions of the Role

Operations and Processes for required training are, but not limited to:

  • All required BIMS (extrusion, Laminating, printing, and die cutting). 
  • Perform changeovers.
  • Preventative Maintenance of equipment
  • Troubleshooting machine issues
  • Ability to visually inspect, measure, and test product per specifications.

Physical Requirements of the Role

  • Ability to constantly stand, frequently walk, and occasionally sit.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. overhead.
  • Ability to push and pull a minimum of 500 pounds with a hand truck.
  • Ability to occasionally stoop and twist.
  • Ability to constantly reach while standing and sitting.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment. 
  • Ability to speak clearly and effectively with team members.
  • Sufficient eyesight to read various equipment and gauges along with manual dexterity to perform various functional test on products/materials

Work Experience Requirements

  • Two years previous Manufacturing experience required.
  • Be computer literate.

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:

  • Ability to troubleshoot machines and make minor adjustments/repairs
