Summary:

This position will be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of sales and operational process training programs tailored to build the capabilities of the ABC Medical Urology field sales organization to achieve our annual operating plan goals.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Build long-term commercial capability across ABC Medical as a key driver of business performance by generating market engagement, helping to understand the capability gaps, and developing appropriate capability solutions to enable the implementation of both the Operational Process Program and the Commercial Excellence Program.
  • Collaborates with sales leadership, operations and marketing to produce sales training programs and materials, and ensure operational and sales knowledge is aligned to ABC Medical
  • Effectively prepare new sales associates by conducting initial sales training, developing individual coaching plans, and making support readily available
  • Leads sales mentor program
  • Serve as a permanent member of the Sales Advisory Team
  • Support a high-performance culture by ensuring commercial and operational excellence in sales is demonstrated by all sales associates
  • Support Commercial Excellence across the ABC Medical sales team through field training in ABC’s sales development program
  • Manages Customer Satisfaction initiatives
  • Assess the effectiveness of training courses by reviewing course evaluations, traveling with new and tenured sales representatives in market visit, and revising programs accordingly
  • Working with the National Sales Manager and Regional Sales Managers, implement a train the trainer coaching emphasis on all training programs. Ensure frequent measurable health checks to ensure consistent delivery of operational and sales excellence systems, in-field, supported by significant in-field coaching and training along with key coaching sessions at regional and national meetings
  • Other special projects or duties as assigned by immediate supervisor

 

Essential Functions of the Role:

  • The job requires extensive travel including international (50%)
  • Fluent English (Written and Verbal)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to travel internationally
  • Participation in Sales Meetings/Business Unit Meetings/Management Meetings as required

 

 

Work Experience Requirements:

  • Number of Overall Years Necessary: 5+ years of relevant sales and/or sales training experience  
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in field sales (Durable Medical Equipment (DME) sales preferred)
  • B.S. / B.A. (required); Preferably in an area of management/management development or related field
  • MBA preferred

 

Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge

  • Expertise in Durable Medical Equipment (DME) operational process, sales, coaching, selling models
  • Strong practical knowledge of Salesforce.com and Brightree
  • Experience in the design, delivery and embedding of sales capability programs across whole organization
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across multiple functions (sales, business development, marketing, human resources, finance, global commercial excellence)
  • Business acumen necessary to help identify individual and organizational needs, develop strategies, and measure results
  • Development and understanding of adult learning principles
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong teaching/facilitation skills
  • Proficient Presentation Skills
