As a member of our Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team, your work will be used to inform strategic decisions, deliver on our shared commitments, and identify potential areas for improvements in the evolving Medical Device industry.  You will build your professional experience by partnering directly with senior leaders and executives to build annual operating plans and assess progress on key initiatives.  You will provide financial support in several areas such as new product development, running scenarios on future strategies, and reporting/forecasting of Corporate Functions.  By sharing your insights from financial reporting and analytics, you will shape the future of how we make a difference in the journey of life for our customers, colleagues, and communities. 


You will use your judgment to know when to focus on the detail ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and when to identify themes in the data while partnering with your colleagues around the world and in other functions to identify innovative ways to do things differently to achieve our goals.  Your work will be focused on an assigned client group contributing to the success of the process from a global perspective.

The Sr. FP&A Analyst will be required to assume certain responsibilities outlined below:


  • Financial Support, Planning, Analysis for Corporate Units – 40%
    • Support the development of the Annual Plan, Midyear Review, and year-end Projection deliverables for various Corporate Units including IT
    • Collaborate with Corporate Unit functions in the preparation of the Annual Plan, Midyear Review, and Projection financial requirements, presentations, narratives, and creation of their expense, capital, and headcount planning forecasts
    • Determine capital versus expense classifications for spend, and support planning and preparation of capital requirements along with depreciation forecasts, as needed
    • Analyze and perform month-end financial support for specific Corporate Units
    • Monthly and annual reporting with variance analysis and key performance indicators
    • Collaborate with the General Accounting department to ensure proper recording of expenses and capital (alignment of statutory reporting to management reporting)
    • Provide financial support for key deliverables and strategic initiatives


  • Financial Support, Planning, Analysis for Corporate FP&A Department Deliverables – 60%
    • Support the development and delivery of key planning processes including Annual Plan, Midyear Review, year-end Projection, and Strategic Plan including reporting, analysis, presentation and preparation for Senior Management and Board of Directors
    • Support the monthly financial reporting processes including analysis of monthly results, development of the monthly management reporting package, various monthly presentations to Senior Management and the Board of Directors.
    • Support financial reporting system applications (SAP BPC, SAP R/3, EDW/BW) projects including system upgrades, design changes, data integrity efforts
    • Collaborate with business users to explain financial requirements
    • Develop standard and ad hoc financial reports using SAP BPC or SAP R/3
    • FP&A team improvement projects
    • Identify process improvement and cost savings opportunities
    • Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis for management and Commercial Units
    • Provide support on various financial planning and analysis projects and processes




  • 6+ years in a financial analysis role with demonstrated business partnership with someone outside of Finance is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
    • MBA and/or CPA highly preferred
  • Full P&L responsibility or experience is required.
    • Experience working with, providing analysis on, explaining full company or Business Unit P&L
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
    • Proficient in software applications like SAP BPC, SAP R/3, EDW/BW (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong analytical skills along with financial modeling and ability to navigate complex formulas.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify process optimization opportunities.
  • Excellent organizational skills including the ability to manage tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple demands with support of management.
  • Comfortable providing recommendations to senior leaders and executives.
  • Fluency in English is required
