Technical Team Resource Person (TTRP)


The Technical Team Resource Person (TTRP), based in Kirksville, Missouri, will support Operations, and work closely with Global Engineering.  The TTRP is primarily responsible for leading production teams (60%), yet will be heavily involved in process development, equipment maintenance, and providing technical expertise in injection molding and related technologies (40%).  Additional responsibilities include team formation and continuation/development of the Hollister Production System (HPS) elements and the development and improvement of molding processes. 




  • Supervise production teams to meet daily operational metrics.
  • Lead teams or individuals, using direct or indirect influence techniques, to support production needs.
  • Pursue the use of the Hollister Production System (HPS) and lead teams on the continuous improvement journey.
  • Employ change management tools to ensure a smooth transition when new techniques are introduced.
  • Mentor others by providing guidance, direction, or other (technical) expertise.
  • Lead team members, assign tasks as appropriate, and ensure that commitments are met.


Technical Support

  • Possess and frequently employ structured problem solving competencies to deliver business results.
  • Monitors part quality according to standards.
  • Troubleshoot and assist with maintenance or technical issues.           


Process Development       

  • Complete process development and testing through the use of a systematic approach.
  • Startup of injection molding machines and maintain established molding processes and parameters including all required documentation.
  • Verify proper machine/robot set up and operation of auxiliary equipment.  Document any discrepancies.


Project Management

  • Monitor project progress to anticipate problems and develop solutions before they become critical, and use clearly understood metrics to report progress to management.
  • Demonstrate technical and professional competencies on medium to high profile projects.


Business Acumen

  • Use sound business principles to evaluate alternatives and provide technical direction.
  • Requires good communication, people skills to work well with other departments, customers.

Essential Functions of the Role

     Standing for long periods at production equipment

     Prolonged sitting at desk or in meetings

     Communications; verbal, written, and listening

     Lifting (50 pounds)


Work Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2-5 years of supervision experience in manufacturing (injection molding preferred).


Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge


  • Basic PC and MS Office proficiency
  • Excellent written and verbal communications required
  • Familiarity with scientific molding principles
  • Hands on experience in a mold making, molding process development and molding environment
  • Medical device manufacturing experience
  • Change Management
  • FDA, ISO experience
  • Continuous Improvement or Lean Manufacturing experience desired
  • Manufacturing or facilities maintenance experience a plus


Education Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science or equivalent required
