Summary:

The purpose of this position is to support the Kirksville manufacturing facility in assuring quality products by performing process capability studies, determining process improvements, instituting corrective action for process & Quality System deficiencies, and partnering with Kirksville operations in achieving plant objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

•Plan, coordinate, execute, and document process capability studies

•Plan, coordinate, execute, and document process improvement studies

•Perform and document investigations, including  root cause analysis for customer complaints, scrap, rejects, etc.

•Support Operations & GQM strategic plans in leading or supporting projects

•Plan, coordinate, and document Quality Plans

•Plan, coordinate, and document work instructions

•Plan, coordinate, test/inspection methods including the purchase of equipment

•Conduct training on defect awareness, statistical techniques, and good manufacturing practices

•Plan, conduct, and document Internal Audits

 

Essential Functions of the Role**:

  • Time spent using PC or keyboard
  • Walking large plant floor area.
  • Considerable verbal interface/communication

Work Experience Requirements

  • Number of Overall Years Necessary: 2-5
  • Experience in plastic injection molding.  3years experience desired
  • Quality engineering experience preferred
  • Technical knowledge in systematic injection molding techniques preferred

 

Education Requirements

  • B.S. or B.A. in Plastics, Engineering, Math, Natural Sciences, Computer Science or related study

 

Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred 
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing desired
  • Medical Device regulatory knowledge (preferred)
