Machine Operator-Night Shift

Summary

Operates manufacturing machines that make medical device components using injection molding processes.  Maintains production, quantity and quality by ensuring that products are produced, offloaded, inspected, and prepared for the next step in the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:

• Look up, read, and understand specifications, drawings, and Manufacturing Instructions (MI’s) for the components or products or process
• Locate Bill of Materials and print work orders
• May be required to fill out Certified Process Paperwork
• Fill out Work in Process (WIP) documentation
• Visually inspect products for defects
• May be required to perform certain tests to verify fit, form, and function.
• May be required to operate machinery and/or material handling equipment
• Perform assembly and packing duties
• Work safely in all aspects of the job

Skills/Qualifications:        

• Excellent attendance
• Ability to read and understand instructions in English
• Good eye/hand coordination
• Close attention to detail
• Able to work in a sterile environment
• Able to read a ruler  
• Positive attitude
• Ability to work alone or with others
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Able to climb short ladders
