Summary

The Senior Master Data Specialist is responsible for collaborating with business-end users, Global Master Data Governance, IT, and cross-functional teams to support the company's global Digital Roadmap, including SAP S/4HANA. This role serves as an SAP Business Analyst with a primary focus on Material Master data, supporting all related SAP modules and integrated peripheral applications. 

This position is responsible for creating, maintaining, and governing material master records across their lifecycle, including extensions, changes, and inactivation/archiving, while ensuring high levels of data quality, consistency, and compliance with global standards. 

The Senior Master Data Specialist supports end-user training and participates as a key contributor on global projects throughout the full project lifecycle (blueprinting, realization, testing, go-live, and post-go-live support). 

 

Hollister Incorporated operates in a hybrid work environment. Employees are expected to come into the office a minimum of 4 days per week. Sponsorship to work in the US is not available at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day Material Master operations in SAP by creating, reviewing, validating, extending, and maintaining master data across all relevant views (Basic Data, Purchasing, MRP, Work Scheduling, Accounting, and Sales, as applicable).
  • Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) in collaboration with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain, ensuring accuracy, version control, and alignment with material master data.
  • Support the setup and maintenance of Routings / Production Versions, partnering with Operations and Manufacturing teams to ensure correct work centers, sequences, and planning parameters. 
  • Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to support CAPA-related master data changes, ensuring timely and accurate updates driven by quality events or regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure GS1 standards compliance, including material identifiers such as GTINs, packaging hierarchies, units of measure, barcoding attributes, and synchronization with external systems where applicable. 
  • Manage material lifecycle activities including material creation, extension, changes, blocking, and archiving/inactivation in accordance with governance standards.
  • Ensure timely completion of material master and related object requests in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Maintain Material Master data governance, quality, and consistency across SAP and integrated systems.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on material, BOM, routing, or integration errors; recommend and execute corrective actions.
  • Execute periodic audits of material-related master data (materials, BOMs, routings) and communicate downstream business impacts.
  • Support and deliver end-user training on Material Master, BOM, and routing standards, processes, and best practices.
  • Participate as a key contributor on SAP and business transformation initiatives across the full project lifecycle (blueprinting through post-go-live support).

  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Resolve inquiries and issues with professionalism and discretion.

Education & Work Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5-8 years of related experience

Education & Work Preferences

  • Strong hands-on experience supporting SAP Material Master data structures and dependencies, including their impact on Procurement, Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, Finance, and Sales processes.
  • Familiarity with CAPA-driven master data changes, including coordination with Quality and Manufacturing teams.
  • Knowledge of GS1 standards, including GTINs, packaging hierarchies, units of measure, and barcode-related attributes.
  • Experience working within a Master Data Governance (MDG) or centralized master data operating model.

Our Total Rewards package in aggregate is above market and includes competitive pay, paid time off programs, peer-to-peer recognition, health and life insurance, wellness programs and incentives, and generous retirement savings.

  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $88,000 - $125,000 yearly. The actual salary varies based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, abilities, and other legitimate business factors.
  • This position is also eligible to participate in the Hollister Corporate Bonus Plan.
