Responsibilities:

  • Lead cost efficiency and packaging consolidation projects
  • Lead design changes to comply with sustainability legislation
  • Apply advanced knowledge, under general guidance, on concepts, principles, and technical capabilities for projects of increased scope and complexity
  • Lead cross-functional projects for new product development and commercialization, and changes to existing products
  • Establish and manage packaging project schedules
  • Recommend and qualify new packaging materials, equipment, and suppliers
  • Develop and validate sterile and non-sterile packaging and labeling systems and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with, and monitor changes to, packaging regulations and standards
  • Write and coordinate technical documentation, including design assurance documents, protocols, reports, procedures, specifications, work instructions, and original data
  • Develop and validate test methods while sourcing and qualifying packaging test equipment
  • Identify, lead, and support cost savings opportunities

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience in packaging equipment selection, development, and validation (automated/manual, forming, loading, sealing, closing, labeling)
  • Familiarity with form-fill-seal, heat seal, and closure equipment/tooling
  • Experience in evaluating and selecting flexible and rigid sterile barrier materials
  • Working knowledge of fiber-based materials (paperboard, corrugate)
  • Experience with design of experiments (DOE) and packaging process validation
  • Ability to perform advanced statistical analysis for packaging performance
  • Proficiency in test methods for materials, integrity, physical properties, and aging studies
  • Understanding of sterilization processes
  • Experience with labeling printers, application equipment, and vision systems
  • Familiarity with printed color specification and measurement techniques
  • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging or Engineering
  • Knowledge of ASTM D10, F02, ISO 11607, and ISO 16775
  • Advanced experience with Qumas, SAP, CAPE, TOPS, JMP, Minitab, Microscan, or similar tools
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Fluent in English

3000-4500 Eur/month Gross
