Summary:
This position will serve as Sr. Financial Accountant within Kaunas Center of Excellence (CoE). This position is financial leadership role with no direct reports. This position review and approve accountants’ work.
Responsibilities:
- Accounting for multiple legal entities on the Kaunas CoE platform:
- Provision of all accounting and financial transaction support according to Service Level Agreements with Hollister Business Units (BU’s).
- Ensure correct bookkeeping and participate in month/year end closing tasks execution related to the appropriate GAAP.
- Preparation of all statutory financial reports in accordance with local and US GAAP.
- Preparation of balance sheets, income statements, DSO and other metrics.
- Participate in development of internal controls and policies and procedures.
- Communication, management and support to service providers, tax advisors, corporate accounting, internal and external auditors.
- Development of internal controls and policies and procedures.
- Cash management and treasury.
- Inter-company transactions, Transfer pricing
- Management of external accounting relationships including service providers, auditors and tax advisors, bank administration.
- Expat accounting, consultant to Business Unit customers.
Requirements:
- 5–8 years of accounting experience, preferably in an international environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance is considered an advantage.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA are a significant advantage.
- Strong experience in financial closing activities, including financial statement preparation and month-end/year-end close.
- SAP knowledge is a strong advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; strong working knowledge of Word and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent command of Business English.
- Knowledge of German or other European languages (e.g. French, Italian, Dutch) is an advantage.
