Summary:
The Plant Controller will be responsible for the strategic financial management, reporting, and leadership of the manufacturing site, aligning with Hollister’s Mission and Vision. This role will oversee cost accounting, standard costing, financial closing and reporting, annual operating plan, internal controls, fixed assets, inventory management, and other ad hoc analysis. As a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, the Plant Controller will drive performance, mitigate risk, and provide data-driven insights to achieve both short-term and long-term objectives. This position will lead a high-performing finance team, including senior-level professionals, and will be instrumental in developing and communicating strategic objectives to enhance financial processes and improve cost efficiencies across the site.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and continuously improve financial operations at the manufacturing site, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering continuous improvement and strategic focus
- Act as a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, shaping and communicating financial strategies to drive site performance
- Establish and enforce financial governance policies, ensuring compliance and operational excellence
- Drive initiatives to enhance financial processes, improve cost efficiency, and support long-term business goals
- Monitor actual vs. planned performance and support monthly reporting and analysis
- Manage the plant’s annual budget cycle and forecasting activities
- Support site productivity through close collaboration with operations and continuous improvement efforts
- Oversee capital expenditure planning (AFE), ensuring accuracy and performance tracking
- Manage plant fixed assets, including inventory controls, asset impairments, and depreciation planning
- Ensure SAP reflects accurate costs and inventory; maintain compliance with GAAP and proper obsolescence reserves
- Uphold strong financial governance and policy adherence across all activities
Requirements:
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including substantial management and leadership responsibilities
- Strong background in manufacturing cost accounting, with advanced technical expertise
- Proven ability to lead and develop senior professionals and managers, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated success in setting and communicating strategic objectives, driving sub-functional outcomes, and leading initiatives
- Global work experience preferred, but not essential
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required; Master's (MBA or similar) strongly preferred
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is mandatory
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align finance operations with broader business goals
- Deep understanding of financial systems, cost accounting, budgeting, and reporting
- Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and partnering with senior leadership to drive performance
- Strong decision-maker, capable of solving complex financial issues independently
- Able to lead through ambiguity, maintaining team focus under pressure
- Fluent in both the local language and English, written and spoken
