Summary
As part of the Global Tax Team, the Tax Analyst II will focus on U.S. federal and state income and indirect tax compliance. Primary activities include preparing federal and state income tax returns and related workpapers, supporting income tax provision calculations, and preparing indirect tax filings (e.g., sales and use tax, property tax, business licenses).
Responsibilities
- Prepare U.S. federal and state income tax computations and workpapers for compliance and provision purposes, including Schedule M-3 adjustments, apportionment, state modifications, and other supporting schedules and documentation.
- Assist with the preparation of U.S. federal and state income tax returns, extensions, and quarterly estimated tax payments.
- Support the preparation of international tax workpapers and reporting within the U.S. federal tax return.
- Support the preparation of income tax provision (ASC 740) workpapers, including data gathering and basic calculations.
- Prepare indirect tax filings and supporting workpapers, including sales and use tax returns and filings such as gross receipt taxes, business licenses, and property taxes.
- Perform monthly tax-related account reconcilitations, investigate variances, and propose adjustments as needed.
- Assist in preparing responses to U.S. federal and state tax notices, inquiries, and audit requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Maintain accurate and organized tax files, documentation, and support for all tax compliance and provision activities.

- Demonstrate initiative in identifying process improvements or automation opportunities.
- Maintain secure handling of sensitive information.
- Support audits and regulatory reporting as needed.
Education & Work Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 2-5 years of related experience
Education & Work Preferences
- Advanced degree/CPA preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with SAP.
- Experience with One Source Income Tax and One Source Tax Provision.
- General knowledge of federal and state income taxation.
- Understanding of ASC 740 accounting for income taxes.
