As the Dynamics SCM Technical Architect, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, implementing, and deploying solutions that drive business growth. You'll manage the entire lifecycle of Dynamics 365 SCM, from initial design and configuration to deployment and ongoing support. Collaborating with the Dynamics Platform team, you’ll ensure business transformation initiatives are executed efficiently, focusing on maintaining current systems and delivering new solutions on time and to the highest quality standards.

 

Beyond your technical responsibilities, you will mentor junior team members, providing guidance to help them develop their skills and grow professionally. You'll foster a collaborative and supportive environment, encouraging open communication and teamwork. Your expertise in navigating complex technical challenges will ensure robust, scalable solutions that align with business objectives. By leveraging your knowledge and experience, you'll contribute to the successful implementation of solutions that drive business success and support the organization’s strategic goals.

 

Key components of role include:

  • Maintenance, Implementation and Lifecycle Management: You will consistently maintain the Dynamics F&SCM system, promptly addressing issues for smooth operation. Overseeing the entire system lifecycle, from design to deployment and support, you will ensure efficiency and alignment with business needs.
  • Collaboration and Mentorship: You will collaborate with Architects and Consultants on business transformation, ensuring alignment and innovative solutions. You will foster teamwork for effective project delivery. Mentoring juniors, you'll provide feedback, share knowledge, and encourage continuous learning, enhancing the team's capabilities and contributing to organizational success.
  • Timely and High-Quality Deliverables: You will ensure timely, high-quality project completion through meticulous planning, resource management, and progress monitoring. Your expertise in problem-solving will provide robust, scalable solutions, ensuring system efficiency. Encouraging teamwork and open communication, you'll create a supportive environment that enhances team performance and drives successful project outcomes and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

Solution Maintenance and Implementation

  • Ensure the Dynamics F&SCM system is consistently maintained and updated.
  • Implement new solutions that align with business needs and objectives.
  • Customize and configure the system to meet business requirements.
  • Monitor system performance and address any issues promptly.
  • Ensure seamless integration with other business systems and applications.

Lifecycle Management

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of the Dynamics F&SCM system, from initial design to deployment of new solutions.
  • Manage system upgrades and enhancements to keep the system current.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system processes and configurations.

Collaboration

  • Work closely with other Architects, Consultants and Developers to design and implement solutions.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical team members.
  • Participate in project planning and strategy sessions.
  • Share insights and best practices to improve team performance.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and partners as needed.

Timely and High-Quality Delivery

  • Play a key role in developing project plans with clear timelines and milestones.
  • Maintain high standards of quality in all deliverables.
  • Conduct regular reviews and quality checks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Address any issues or delays promptly to keep projects on track.

Essential Functions of the Role**:

Work Experience Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in implementing, customizing, configuring and managing Dynamics 365 CE solutions
  • Deep understanding of Dynamics 365 F&SCM modules and functionalities.
  • Proven experience with Azure services and cloud-based solutions
  • Strong background in software development and architecture.
  • Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience in leading and mentoring technical teams and providing guidance and support to junior team members.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative and supportive working environment and work closely with cross-functional teams.

Education Requirements

  • BS/BA Computer Science or equivalent related field of study
  • Relevant Microsoft certification in Dynamics 365 F&SCM

Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:

  • Experience of Dynamics 365 F&SCM architecture and capabilities at enterprise level
  • Design & Development experience in Dynamics 365 F&SM, including AWMS.
  • A deep technical knowledge of Dynamics Finance features such as general ledger, account payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets etc.
  • A deep technical knowledge of Supply Chain Management and related tools and technologies, including inventory management, warehouse management, master planning, procurement processes and product information management.
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps to deliver business requirements
  • Extensive experience in design and customisation and extension of Dynamics F&SCM
  • A deep understanding of how product-based agile teams operate.
  • Experience with Agile tools.
