Summary:
The Lead SAP Developer will be responsible for design, development, testing, implementation and documentation of Development objects for Hollister’s SAP environment. These objects include, but are not limited to: SAP ABAP Programs, function modules, forms, data dictionary items, CDS view, ODATA APIs, In-app extensions, Developer extensions, side-by-side extensions, RAP etc. This role requires supporting the existing system outside the normal working hours on a need basis and as per organizational policies.
Additionally, the associate will be called upon to work with Project Managers, Process Leads and other people in the process organization to discuss development requests / requirements.
Lead SAP Developer also has the following competencies:

Responsibilities:
1.
Effectively partners with other IT Groups to deliver IT Services
•
Works closely with project managers both within the IT Project Management Office (PMO) and the business. Reporting timekeeping according to Planview timekeeping requirements.
•
Works within international business teams and can participate in project meetings with international colleagues. Flexible work hours to meet international timelines.
•
Collaborate with team members on various technology initiatives.
•
Collaborates with cross-functional teams during the S/4HANA transformation journey, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with business goals.
2.
Assists and identifies avenues for continuous improvement
•
Remains current with emerging industry standards, including obtaining and/or maintaining required certifications.
•
Envisions and introduces new capabilities to meet business standards.
•
Collects and publishes service level metrics as required.
•
Maintaining in-depth working knowledge of business and technology.
•
Supports ongoing SAP ECC operations while contributing to the strategic migration and optimization efforts for S/4HANA.
3.
Development Work
•
Creation and modification of development objects based on design specifications and development standards.
•
Participate in projects (i.e. Global SAP roll outs, process improvements, etc.)
•
Perform unit testing and participate in integration testing of development objects.
•
Develop custom solutions and enhancements compatible with both SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
•
Ensure codebase and development practices are aligned with S/4HANA modernization standards.
•
Apply clean core concepts wherever possible in cost optimized way
4.
Design Work
•
Creation of technical specifications based on functional requirements provided by the process organization.
•
Work with Business Analysts to assist in requirements gathering and design.
•
Recommends new processes, methods or technologies to meet business/technical needs.
•
Contributes to the design and architecture of S/4HANA-ready applications and interfaces.
5.
Issue Resolution
•
Diagnose and resolve application related issues.
•
Provide technical support for Business Analysts.
•
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across both SAP ECC and S/4HANA platforms.

•
Retain and enhance skills and knowledge in SAP Development.
•
Make recommendations regarding new technologies and their uses in management.
•
Mentoring / knowledge sharing within the development group.
•
Document and share best practices for dual-platform support (ECC and S/4HANA).

Essential Functions of the Role**:
•
Talk on the phone with Hollister associates, globally.
•
Read technical manuals / trade journals.
•
Use a personal computer and strong proficiency in Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
•
Travel via plane or automobile.
Work Experience Requirements
•
Number of Overall Years Necessary: 8–12.
•
Minimum of 7 years of SAP Development experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 11 years of experience with a high school diploma. Demonstrated significant global project success.
•
Experience in supporting SAP ECC systems and contributing to S/4HANA transformation initiatives is highly desirable.
Education Requirements

BS/BA Computer Science or equivalent related field of study preferred.
•
Or MS/MTech in Computer Science or equivalent field of study.

Minimum 3 years’ experience in:

S4 HANA implementation project
•
ABAP on HANA with new concepts like CDS, ODATA, Fiori/UI5, RAP
•
Key-user extensibility, developer extensibility and side-by-side extensibility is a plus
•
New ABAP 7.4/7.5, ABAP on HANA
•
Programming in SAP UI5 creating or extending Fiori apps including Fiori Elements
•
R/3 including at least 2 modules (i.e. MM, PP, FI, CO, SD, HR etc.)
•
Minimum 2 years’ experience in:
•
An Object-Oriented language, preferably Object-Oriented ABAP or Java.
•
Or strong knowledge of Object-Oriented concepts.
•
One of SAP’s new dimension products (i.e., APO, CRM, SEM)
Preferences:
•
Experience with any components of SAP NetWeaver including Enterprise Portal, XI, Knowledge Management, Web Application Server, Web Dynpro, Collaboration, etc.
•
SAP Workflow knowledge
•
ABAP on HANA with CDS, ODATA and RAP
•
Hands-on experience with S/4HANA development tools and methodologies.
•
Understanding of SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration strategies and compatibility considerations.
•
Understanding of clean core concepts
