Summary
Within the assigned area of responsibility, the role has the requirement to act as the key Security Contact for all Company businesses and Group functions. This brings a necessity to be a self-starter with the ability to engage with, and interact, at all levels of the organization. This role defines the standards, policies, procedures and controls that are required to mitigate risk to an acceptable level for all of Hollister’s Associates, Assets and Operations, by Managing all aspects of security operations, projects and enhancements, including physical security, personnel safety, and asset security for assigned locations. Managing, maintaining, and enhancing security related policies and procedures as related to access control, video surveillance, visitor management, emergency notification system, etc. Overseeing and managing contract security guard services for geographically dispersed JDS locations - establishing and maintaining service standards and metrics at each assigned location. Assisting Group Leadership, Associates, Contractors, and Visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support all day-to-day operations related to security procedures, practices, platforms, and policies.
  • Engage with all levels of management including the CEO, Operational Command and other senior leaders on issues relating to intelligence, threats, risks and their mitigation.
  • Oversee Global Security projects associated with enhancing, expanding, or improving physical site security, Associate safety, and asset protection at assigned locations.
  • Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with set Global Security standards.
  • Co-ordinate and collaborate with Site Management, Human Resources, Facilities, CISO/InfoSec at all facilities within the assigned area of responsibility to understand the security risk profile across physical security and non-physical security areas to advise or lead on security awareness issues and support information security reviews as appropriate.
  • Support physical security operations at multiple Hollister sites. Ensure compliance with established security practices, policies and procedures.
  • Manage, support, and maintain Access Control and Video Surveillance platforms for multiple Hollister locations.
  • Support senior Global Security management with system expansions to new locations within the assigned geographic area.
  • Train and advise remote site personnel tasked with locally overseeing the access control, video surveillance, visitor management and emergency notification functions. Provide security platform support, updates, administration, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Conduct risk assessments; introduce and implement approved risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manage assigned financial responsibilities and ensure adherence to the AOP and planned project spending, where applicable.
  • Collaborate with Facilities and IT management personnel on technological security system and access control improvements as necessary.
  • Conduct internal investigations at assigned sites; complete and review incident reports and ensure follow up where applicable.
  • Assist with managing and serve as a Global Administrator for the Emergency Mass Notification platform[s] for assigned sites utilizing this service; assist with managing platform expansions and improvement; provide training to local site Administrators and Users as needed.
  • Implement, manage, maintain and provide administration and training on the visitor management platforms at all assigned Global Operations sites.
  • Collaborate on safety initiatives to ensure adherence to policies, standards and procedures.
  • Provide response in emergency situations; advise on emergency response and procedures at remote sites; assist Associates in distress.
  • Assist in securing Company assets; research and implement insider risk management and analysis techniques and procedures.
  • Build Associate awareness of Company Security Policies and recommended security practices; provide knowledge training through various resources, including company intranet, quarterly publications, and in-person sessions.
  • Ensure co-ordination and collaboration within the Local and Regional Security managers and site security; sharing knowledge, intelligence, lessons learned and best practice.
  • Build rapport and collaborate with local Law Enforcement and Emergency Response agencies and its representatives.
  • Conduct research and contract negotiations with Contract Security provider[s] and security integrators; manage agreements, services, and contracts; ensure all contract provisions are adhered to by the vendor[s] and that contract personnel are trained in accordance with Company requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local Value-Added Resellers and system integrators.
  • Manage relationships with Contract Security Service providers at all assigned Hollister locations that utilize or plan to utilize contract security.
  • Create, maintain and manage Contract Security SOPs and relevant training.
  • Lead or support investigations into theft or any other security related incidents.
  • Managing stakeholders from functional management through to site level leadership as appropriate or appropriate in relation to security issues.
  • Actively participate and positively contribute to the Management Team at multiple sites.
  • Undertake any other duties that are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

 

Essential Functions of the Role

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of security industry practices and platforms.
  •  Ability to travel internationally and support geographically dispersed facilities and cultures.
  • A proactive and resourceful self-starter/ motivator with the ability to work without close direct supervision
  • Part of a proactive external network of security managers and professional (local, regional) to enable regular benchmarking, valuable intelligence, risk awareness and knowledge sharing.

  • The ability to working at a variety of different levels, from the detailed to the strategic; and an ability to listen actively and to communicate and influence with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; prolonged sitting and walking; operational knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

 

Work Experience Requirements

Number of Overall Years Necessary: 8-12 years of corporate security management or equivalent government position, with at least 5 years overseeing security operations over geographically dispersed sites.

 

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in a relevant field is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years certification from a professional security organization is desirable.

Specialized Skills / Technical Knowledge

  • Operational knowledge of Access Control Systems and IP Video Surveillance required.
  • Familiarity with Lenel OnGuard and Milestone software desirable.
  • Understanding and knowledge of security best practices.
  • Knowledge of insider risk policies and processes.
  • Project management skills, including ability to create flow charts and track financials utilizing a variety of available software.

Local Specifications

  • Must be fluent in English (written & verbal).
  • Any other language capability is a positive.
