Supervisor, R&D Laboratory

At Hollister Incorporated, we are passionate about making life more rewarding and dignified for people who use our products. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated R&D Laboratory Supervisor to join our Continence Care team in Ballina.

In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of R&D Technicians, manage the day-to-day operations of our laboratory, and coordinate key activities that support product development. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring our lab operates efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with regulatory standards—while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of R&D Technicians to support product builds, testing, and sterilization activities.
• Manage the R&D lab facility, including equipment calibration, maintenance, and material inventory.
• Establish systems for processing test requests and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and audit-ready lab environment in line with Hollister’s EH&S policies.
• Support customer and VIP visits by coordinating lab demonstrations and activities.

What You Bring:

• 5–8 years of experience in a research or laboratory setting, ideally within the medical device industry.
• Proven leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring teams.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Degree in Engineering or a Science discipline is essential.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with project management practices.
