Summary:

Controls the issuance of parts and materials for maintenance stockrooms. Purchases and maintains accurate stockroom inventory of parts and materials to ensure needs within the plant are met in a timely manner, contributes to TPM program and compatible with Hollister’s Mission and Vision. Standartize and optimise stock levels acording to best practices and standarts of Lean. Optimise vendor sources to look for alternatives. Spare part budget tracking.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Controls stockroom inventory by checkouts, restocking and inventory counts.
  • Upload periodic checkouts, inventory counts and maintain all check out sheets.
  • Assist internal customers (engineers, mechanics, associates, etc.) to locate or source parts and inventory.
  • Source and purchase the inventory and spare parts needed for the plant.
  • Comparison (evaluation) of vendors, perform negotiations to proactively seek out cost improvements for parts ordered.
  • Build relationships with vendors.
  • Maintain all inventory movement in Blue Mountain and Lean Lift software.
  • Create purchase orders and purchase requisitions in Coupa.
  • Ensure appropriate stock levels are established, maintained and optimized.
  • Physically verify inventory is accurate according to internal procedures.
  • Stock rooms data analysis and improvement
  • Identify & implement cost saving opportunities in the area of responsibility. Initiate and manage cost improvement and cost avoidance programs
  • Ensure that the quality of all spare parts meets incoming requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement; partner with production & engineering on spares parts process improvement and obsolete parts.
  • Ensure tooling is cared appropriately when not in use.
  • Any testing or pre-set-up necessary to ensure tooling is ready for installation in equipment.
  • Other duties, as needed and required.

 

Work Experience Requirements

  • 3 - 5 years’ work experience in maintenance  purchasing and inventory controls.
  • Equipment Maintenance and repair experience preferred.  

 

 

Education Requirements

  • Primary degree in engineering, supply chain or business
  • Work experience with Lean and/or Six-Sigma tools and techniques preferred.

 

 

Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:

  • Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • The ability to understand a wide range of procurement procedures and processes.
  • Good cooperative skills and negotiation skills.
  • Utilize measuring tools as needed: dial calipers, micrometers, height gages etc.
