The Senior Supply Chain Manager is a leadership role that is responsible for shaping and executing the site’s end-to-end supply chain strategy. This role plays a pivotal part in overseeing the entire flow of goods from raw materials to shipment of goods into Distribution Centers or other production sites in the network, coordinating activities like materials management, production planning and scheduling, with the primary goals of supporting customer service and operational objectives.
Serving as a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, the Senior Supply Chain Manager influences decision-making within the company while translating complex supply chain challenges into actionable solutions that support customer service and corporate objectives. The Supply Chain leader fosters collaboration across multiple functions and locations, ensuring alignment between local execution and global strategic direction. This is a site-specific role reporting to the Global Supply Chain Planning Director. The Senior Supply Chain Manager will be a member of the Global Supply Chain Planning Leadership Team.
Responsibilities:
Supply Chain Leadership & Strategic Execution
- Leading Supply Chain Planning function within the plant, including Production Planning Team and the Materials Management Team
- Leadership Presence: Actively participate in the Site Leadership Team, advocating for supply chain priorities and ensuring cross-functional alignment to meet business objectives.
- Strategic Vision: Drive the development and execution of site supply chain strategies that support both base business and New Product Commercialization (NPC).
- People Leadership: Build, coach, and mentor a high-performing supply chain team, ensuring talent development, engagement, and succession planning.
- Cross-Business Unit Alignment: Serve as a key liaison ensuring seamless collaboration between Ostomy & Continence Care Business Units at the site level, optimizing supply chain planning while maintaining strategic consistency across the two BUs.
- Operational Excellence: Champion best practices in supply chain planning, procurement, and inventory management, utilizing continuous improvement methodologies to enhance efficiency and service levels.
Production Planning
- Lead the development of near- to medium-term production planning strategies that optimize capacity utilization while ensuring agility in response to demand fluctuations.
- Oversee detailed scheduling processes, addressing constraints such as work center availability, material flow, and workforce planning.
- Proactively identify and mitigate bottlenecks, ensuring production continuity while maintaining supply chain resilience.
- Continuously monitor production performance and drive improvements in adherence to schedules, cost efficiencies, and operational KPIs.
Materials Management
- Define materials procurement strategy, ensuring effective purchasing processes and supplier performance management in collaboration with Global Procurement.
- Partner with Global Procurement in supplier negotiations and supplier performance reviews, focusing on cost optimization, quality assurance, and risk mitigation.
- Support strategic sourcing initiatives that enhance business continuity and long-term value creation.
- Own plant WIP & Raw material inventory levels, establishing optimal inventory levels to support the business requirements while mitigating risk and driving inventory optimization..
Inventory & Warehouse Leadership
- Define and execute inventory management strategies that optimize working capital while safeguarding service levels.
- Implement robust warehouse management practices, ensuring efficient storage, movement, and handling of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. Drive proper labeling and storage procedures to maintain inventory integrity.
- Lead initiatives aimed at minimizing excess, obsolete inventory, and shelf-life risks while maintaining overall inventory integrity.
- Overseeing the receiving process, inspecting incoming materials for delivery quality and quantity.
Plant S&OP
- Lead site-level S&OP processes and actively contribute to Global S&OP discussions, ensuring proactive demand-supply balancing.
- Own the capacity input into Plant S&OP process, confirm material availability to support the plan, and hold the plant accountable for execution of the plan from production through to delivery to the receiving DCs.
Stakeholder Engagement & Change Leadership
- Establish strong partnerships with cross-functional leaders to resolve supply chain challenges and enhance operational performance.
- Provide executive-level reporting on supply chain metrics, trends, and areas for strategic improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement and transformational initiatives, leveraging change management principles to ensure successful adoption across teams.
Compliance, Governance, and Cost Optimization
- Ensure adherence to corporate, regulatory, and ESG-related supply chain practices.
- Development and ownership of Plant Operating Strategy document, detailing out the agreed principles behind different stakeholders in the site.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives through optimization of production planning, procurement strategies, and inventory controls.
- Promote a culture of operational excellence, data-driven decision-making, and financial stewardship within the supply chain function.
- Supporting the development of annual budget plans and periodic updates.

- Cross-Business Unit Leadership: Ability to foster collaboration across Ostomy & Continence Care business units within the site while ensuring alignment with overarching global strategic objectives
Work Experience Requirements:
- 10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience within manufacturing, operations, or logistics environments.
- 5+ years managing teams of planners and/or schedulers, and buyers in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Expertise in ERP systems (SAP S/4 HANA, PPDS, SAP IBP preferred) with a deep understanding of production planning, scheduling, procurement, and warehouse management.
- Strong stakeholder engagement capabilities, with experience leading site-level S&OP processes and influencing global teams.
- Proven ability to drive transformation, leveraging continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
- Healthcare or medical device industry experience preferred.
- Other preferred experience with systems: SAP eWM, Systems Integrations (i.e., conveying systems, labeling systems, etc.)
Educational Requirements:
- BS/BA in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Engineering
- Master’s Degree preferred
