Senior Lead Systems Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our IT team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of our global IT infrastructure. You will manage complex systems, mentor junior staff, and support enterprise operations across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor cloud and on-prem infrastructure including virtual machines, databases, storage, and networking with a focus on cost-efficiency and security standards.
• Plan and execute hardware/software upgrades whilst creating and maintaining knowledgebase documentation, procedures and policies.
• Manage user accounts and security permissions
• Provide escalated technical support via ITSM tool. 
• Manage job scheduling, backups, and disaster recovery
• Support data centre and server room security
• Provide on-call support and administer enterprise systems
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers

 Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud engineering or systems administration.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language.
• Solid understanding of system security techniques.
• Experience supporting a global enterprise environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT related field.
• Certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, or equivalent are a plus

 Technical Expertise

• Windows Server & Active Directory (design, implementation, hybrid cloud integration).
• Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN) and cloud security practices.
• Microsoft Exchange Server administration
• VMware and SAN technology deployment
• Backup techniques and database management
• Scripting and automation skills (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Bash)
• Azure Cloud services: VM deployment, database integration, portal operations.

Communication Requirements

• Fluent in English (written and verbal) with strong documentation and collaboration skills.

• The anticipated base salary range for this position is €70,000 - €87,000. The actual salary varies based on applicant's, education, experience, skills, abilities, and other legitimate business factors.
• If applicable:  This position is also eligible to participate in the Hollister 10% Bonus Plan.
