Position Title: Manager, Finance Operations (12-Month Contract)
Location: Ballina, Co. Mayo, Ireland

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Operations Manager to join our team in Ballina on a 12-month contract. This role is responsible for overseeing financial and tax reporting for Hollister’s Irish registered entities, managing the accounts payable function for shared service companies, and driving process standardization and reporting optimization.

The successful candidate will be a strategic business partner, collaborating across departments locally and globally, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting Hollister’s business strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 6–9 finance professionals, including qualified accountants, accounts administrators, and payroll administrators.
  • Ensure integrity of financial reporting and balance sheet accuracy with clear audit trails.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes, internal and external audits, and compliance with US and local GAAP.
  • Align local finance strategy with corporate goals and ensure team engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with Irish tax regulations including VAT, duty, and payroll taxes.
  • Oversee statutory reporting and timely submission of VAT, Corporation Tax, and Payroll returns.
  • Collaborate with corporate treasury on insurance renewals and risk management.
  • Manage pension planning and accounting in line with US GAAP.
  • Oversee IDA grant applications and drawdowns.
  • Lead R&D tax credit planning and financial submissions.
  • Manage senior management payroll and oversee payroll for Ballina-based associates.
  • Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and manage intercompany financial transactions.
  • Submit miscellaneous regulatory filings (e.g., CSO, BOP40).
  • Evaluate and improve internal controls and financial processes.
  • Foster a positive, results-oriented team culture and provide strategic financial insights.
  • Perform other duties as required.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Professional Accounting Qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
  • Master’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience, ideally in a large business environment.
  • Experience managing full enterprise financial operations and sub-ledgers.
  • Knowledge of income tax and pay-related benefit treatment desirable.
  • Proven people management experience.
