Shipping Supervisor Summary:

Provide distribution services to Domestic, International, or Secure Start Customers.  Purpose and function is the supervision of Associates who fulfill orders for medical products. Responsible for supervising and coordinating the job duties of non-exempt Associates. Assist in staffing decisions, resolve performance management issues and train and develop Associates.

 

Shipping Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Manage on a daily basis, the operations of fulfilling customer order from receipt at DC to receipt to customer.
  • Interface with Sales/Marketing/Customer Service in regards to shipment status, instruction, processes.
  • Maintain the required service level in distribution. Report service performance on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain appropriate operating procedures and policies within corporate guidelines.
  • Creation of required reports.
  • Supervise adherence to the application of safety, service, cost, efficiency.
  • Resolving distribution issues with internal and external customers.
  • Supervise the Maintenance Workers.
  • Resolution of Associate relation issues.
  • To perform other job related duties as determined and assigned by management.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work on feet for extended periods of time.
  • Communicate both verbally and in written form.
  • Basic keyboard skills.
  • Lifting, walking, carrying, bending.

 

Shipping Supervisor Requirements:

  • Number of overall years necessary: 2-5
  • 3 years distribution center operations.
  • 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree.
  • Negotiation skills.
  • Computer proficient.
  • Budgeting.
  • Project management.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Public speaking.
