Summary:  

The Contract Specialist is responsible for supporting agreements pertaining to the U.S. distributor market.  Responsibility also includes supporting the review, analysis, and processing of pricing and membership information into the Pricing System (Vistex). This position will communicate pricing and contract adjustments with all respective areas on a daily basis for all Group Purchasing Organizations, Federal Government, and Hospitals.  The Contract Specialist will also work with cross-functional teams to continuously improve and streamline the pricing processes.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and process all designation forms submitted by Group Purchasing Organization members
    • Ensure timely processing
    • Analyze all qualifiers and impact of designation changes
  • Ensure accuracy in customer pricing set up and compliance information in Vistex
    • Perform maintenance/reviews on an ongoing basis to insure accurate reporting
  • Audit price list once loaded in Vistex to ensure accuracy
    • Act as resource to field sales for current pricing and designation form policies
  • Responsible for creating new and maintaining existing Marketing & Distribution Agreements, Prime Vendor Agreements, and Rebate Agreements.
  • Work closely with Senior Manager, US Distributor Finance to ensure agreements capture terms agreed to by Hollister and customer.
  • Responsible for understanding, editing/responding to contractual language to ensure compliance to Hollister’s acceptable standards/business practices, and coordinating/consulting with Legal for review and approval.  Interfaces with sales staff and customers, when appropriate, to understand concerns, explain and negotiate Hollister’s position within allowable parameters.
  • Responsible for maintaining and applying Hollister’s standard contract templates.  Works with Legal, US Distributor Finance, Sales and Marketing to solicit input and modify and/or develop new templates and forms to support new programs. 
  • Contributes to the preparation and distribution of contract launch materials (such as Key Account news) and effective maintenance of online databases ensuring access to current and helpful information for field sales associates.  Participates in training for sales and other staff pertaining to proper implementation and utilization of contracts and programs.
  • Identify process improvements
    • Actively pursues opportunities to continuously improve the designation processes and the customer experience

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years overall business experience.
  • 2+ years overall experience working with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) and member rosters
  • 2+ years healthcare industry experience. Contract/pricing management, preferred
  • 4 year college degree required
  • Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Strong strategic thinker
  • Strong decision-making, organizational and influencing skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize multiple demands
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and handle high pressure environment
  • Microsoft Suite of products
