Manufacturing Supervisor

The Manufacturing Supervisor based in Kirksville, Missouri, will support Operations, and work closely with Global Engineering. The Manufacturing Supervisor is primarily responsible for leading production teams (60%), yet will be heavily involved in process development, equipment maintenance, and providing technical expertise in injection molding and related technologies (40%). Additional responsibilities include team formation and continuation/development of the Hollister Production System (HPS) elements and the development and improvement of molding processes.

Leadership

· Supervise production teams to meet daily operational metrics.

· Lead teams or individuals, using direct or indirect influence techniques, to support production needs.

· Pursue the use of the Hollister Production System (HPS) and lead teams on the continuous improvement journey.

· Employ change management tools to ensure a smooth transition when new techniques are introduced.

· Mentor others by providing guidance, direction, or other (technical) expertise.

· Lead team members, assign tasks as appropriate, and ensure that commitments are met.

Technical Support

· Possess and frequently employ structured problem solving competencies to deliver business results.

· Monitors part quality according to standards.

· Troubleshoot and assist with maintenance or technical issues.

Process Development

· Complete process development and testing through the use of a systematic approach.

· Startup of injection molding machines and maintain established molding processes and parameters including all required documentation.

· Verify proper machine/robot set up and operation of auxiliary equipment. Document any discrepancies.

Project Management

· Monitor project progress to anticipate problems and develop solutions before they become critical, and use clearly understood metrics to report progress to management.

· Demonstrate technical and professional competencies on medium to high profile projects.

Business Acumen

· Use sound business principles to evaluate alternatives and provide technical direction.

· Requires good communication, people skills to work well with other departments, customers.

Perform other duties as assigned by Management

Work Experience Requirements

· Minimum 2-5 years of supervision experience in manufacturing (injection molding preferred).

Education Requirements

• Bachelors of Science or equivalent required
